Reign of Guilds

Reign of Guilds is an open-world MMORPG inspired by old-school games like Ultima Online and EverQuest. Players start out by choosing one of fourteen professions and then create their own build using a wide selection of skills, spells, and equipment. They can then further define their build using buffs and items. Once in the world, players will find that their actions have an impact. If they trade with NPCs, it will affect their prices. Killing mobs has an impact on the population. Even completing quests will have an impact. And since this is an MMO, each player will feel the effects of other players' actions. The game offers a robust crafting and gathering system and a related market. For players who’d rather not deal with the market, there’s also the possibility of finding items they need by seeking out hidden merchants, abandoned homesteads, and the like. The game world is broken up into zones with different danger levels. Green zones are safe. Yellow Zones are neutral, and killing others will cost karma. Karma lost becomes experience and items lost upon death. Black zones are dangerous areas where players are fighting for resources, and as a result, the karma isn’t impacted. But experience and items are lost upon death anyway. Finally, Red Zones are war areas, so death is to be expected but not punished.
